Remaining Water in the Ear

What are the side effects of the remaining water in the ear and how can it be dried? How to prevent water in the ear?

If water enters your ears after swimming and bathing, you can use a headset. Solutions for drying and draining water from the ear:

Gravity

The best way to remove water from the ear is to remove it by gravity.

Tilt your head and keep the injured ear parallel to the ground.

Place the palm of your hand in front of the ear and press for a few seconds. Quickly raise your hand. A temporary vacuum will form that expels water from the ear.

Carefully rinse the ear water using an ear cleaner.

Yawning or a movement such as chewing can also help expel water from the ear by applying pressure to the middle ear and stretching the ear canal.

Draw water from the ear

Valsalva maneuver technique:

Performing a maneuver will help you open the Eustachian tube tubes and expel water from the ear.

Close your mouth and press your nose with your fingers, then take a deep breath.

Gently exhale through the nose to adjust the air pressure. If you do this correctly, you will hear a slight sound from the Eustachian tube opening.

Note: Do not hold your nose too tightly as it may damage the eardrum.

Drying with a hairdryer:

A hot air dryer can also be used to speed up the evaporation of earWater. Hot, dry air turns water into steam and eventually helps it escape.

Use your hands to move your earlobes away from your body.

Keep the hairdryer about 10 to 12 inches away from the ear.

Set the heat of the hairdryer to a low degree.

Turn on the hairdryer and hold it directly facing the ear canal.

Hold the hairdryer in the same position for about 30 seconds.

Repeat if necessary.

Do not do this for a long time and at once.
